Andrades Restaurant gives back to community through free meals

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Owners of Andrade's restaurant Javier and Michelle Andrade are providing free meals to the community.

They want to help those who have lost their jobs, or rely on free school lunches— and give them food free of charge.

Despite the fact that business has dropped 50% for their own restaurant, the Andrades still want to use their own resources to give back for as long as they can.

“We want to feed as many people as possible, at this point it’s hard to guess the exact amount of time. We want to be able to help as long as we can," co-owner Michelle Andrade said. "It’s the generosity of the community that helps keep it going, there are other people who have reached out to donate and help as well.”

Javier says the Boise community has given them so much, he just wants to do the same.

“I hope people buy food, but if you have no money," co-owner Javier Andrade said. "We will provide for you for free.”

Michelle and Javier also recommend ordering meals by phone or going through the drive thru.
